Executive leadership

Scott Thorpe, President and CEO Scott believes that individuals can make a difference in managing energy consumption and influencing sustainability of resources. He combines this belief with more than 15 years of construction and building science experience. The result: Thorpe Energy Services reflects his vision on an even greater scale. Scott, who is also BPI® certified, leads a team of highly skilled professionals that provides all aspects of energy efficiency analysis. In addition to his leadership of Thorpe Energy Services, Scott is owner of Rainbow International of East Indianapolis, an international water, fire and wind restoration company.

Dawn Thorpe, Vice President of Operations and Strategic Planning, and CFO Engaging her passion for helping others and applying her rich experience in financial planning and forecasting, Dawn leads members of Thorpe Energy Services auditing and marketing teams in helping customers reach their energy efficiency goals and milestones. Dawn’s role in the organization draws on her early career as a Certified Financial Planner® for JP Morgan Chase, where she created detailed plans to help her clients meet their estate planning and wealth management goals. With a BS in Business Administration and Finance from the IU Kelley School of Business and an MBA with a focus on Marketing, Dawn provides a strong skill set and expertise to the Thorpe Energy Services leadership team.

Joe Koch is the controller for Thorpe Energy Services. Mr. Koch has an extensive and diversified background in accounting, financial, departmental and managerial positions with experience in corporate office, not-for-profit agency, and stand-alone project environments covering such diverse functions as: Accounting, Auditing, Banking Relationships, Project Cost Accounting, Material Control, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Computer Operations, Human Resource and EEO Management, Cash Forecasting and Management, and Not-for-Profit Accounting.
In addition to the experiences learned through work, Joe Koch has a BS in Accounting from Penn State and has maintained and upgraded his skills through an MBA from Lewis University and CMA/CFM/CBM certifications. He has advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, SBT Accounting, Peachtree Accounting, QuickBooks, and numerous other PC based software which has helped create time and work saving programs and spreadsheets throughout his career.
