Job Description

Job Title:                 Direct Installation Technician                                         

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1.  Contacts potential customers by phone to discuss benefits of using energy efficient apparatus such as light bulbs, shower heads, aerators, etc.
  2.  Schedules meetings for further discussions and/or for energy assessment
  3.  Schedules appointments for technicians to do direct installations for custom
  4.  Ensures appropriate inventory of supplies is on hand.
  5.  Installs energy efficient apparatus in multifamily unit
  6.  Performs administrative functions of the office such as answering phones and responding to inquires or redirecting call to superviso
  7.  Maintains positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
  8. Serves as liaison between client companies and Thorpe Energy Company.
  9.  Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Other Qualifications:

  1.  Must have a reliable vehicle (up to 60% travel)
  2.  Ability to operate and manipulate standard office equipment
  3.  Ability to sit for extended time periods and make or receive telephone calls
  4.  Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 10 pounds and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on rare occasions

Scope of Work/Overview of Thorpe Services & E2 Audits:

Thorpe Services provides premier Energy Efficiency and Retrofit contracting services. We work with various government agencies, commercial establishments and residential clients providing services to improve their propertiesenergy efficiency.
Thorpe Services is seeking competent individuals who possess leadership qualities are self-motivated, professional and exceptional communicators.
The Scope of Work for the Field Coordinator position, includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Field Coordinator Role Description:
Support efficiency programs by Placing points of purchase in retail stores Preparing reports detailing daily activities and summaries of event participation. Communicating program goals and activities with retail store management, customers and the team. Represent Thorpe Services, contracting partners, retailers, and distributors during store visits.
Ensure program products are up-to-date and accurate in assigned territory. Assist in meetings for the planning of retail and community events. Manage and serve as the representative for Thorpe Services (and our clients) at outreach events.
Distribute program materials and provide participating retailers with appropriate training on efficiency programs.
Gather valuable feedback to help track and measure the Program’s success in transforming the marketplace.
Perform related work as required.

Field Coordinator Role Competencies:

Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in efficiency program management.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines/goals
The ability to self-manage is required.
Able to have flexibility in work schedule.
A certain degree of creativity is required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
Comfortable with a high amount of driving with access to a reliable vehicle. Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a customer-facing service role.
Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
Salary is based on experience. Full time schedule with days, evenings and some weekends shifts required.

Technician- Restoration

Job description 

Job Title:                   Technician- Restoration

Division:                    Restoration

Reports To:              General Manager/Owner

SUMMARY

Supervise/perform the restoration of carpets, upholstery and draperies that have been damaged by water, smoke, fire, debris or other methods of damage.  Supervise/perform other specialty services as required.  Supervise/perform restoration services that equal or exceed company and customer quality standards.  Perform marketing tasks to sell additional services or develop additional business as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Drive a company vehicle to locations designated by customers. Load and unload equipment and supplies form the vehicle to the work site.  Clear the work site by moving furniture and equipment and restore the work site to the original configuration when the job is complete.
  2. Perform restoration that involves specialized cleaning and repair of carpeting, upholstery and drapery.  Clean, dry and deodorize floors ceiling and drywall.  Access all areas and surfaces that need to be cleaned, dried and deodorized. Apply EPA registered and approved disinfectant as required.  Perform all work to meet or exceed applicable federal, state and local regulations and company and customer quality standards.
  3. Perform regular cleaning services of carpets, upholstery and draperies on an as needed basis.
  4. Follow all Environmental Protection Agency and other applicable federal, state and local regulations for disposal of waste water and chemicals.
  5. Comply with all verbal and written safety practices including the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.  Read and comprehend all applicable MSDSs for chemicals that require special handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  6. Maintain all assigned vehicles and equipment to company published standards.
  7. Solicit current customers for leads to develop leads for new customers.
  8. Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license appropriate to the equipment operated.  Must have the following certifications:  WRT, ASD, FSRT and OCT.

SUMMARY 

Perform office functions including maintaining the master work schedule, dispatching the service professionals, scheduling new jobs, handling customer complaints and assisting the office administrator with the accounting and banking duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Enter jobs into Xactimate/Fusion. Be completely responsible for jobs moving smoothly through the process from start to payment.

Answer the phone in a courteous manner and ascertain the nature of the call. Handle the call personally or refer the caller to the correct employee.

Maintain the master schedule of appointments for water/fire calls, customer service and request for estimate calls. Set priorities for service and request for estimate calls based on the criticality of the service requirement.

Notify customers about the status of the service call schedule. Work with technicians and customers to maximize customer satisfaction.

Follow up with customers after completion of the work and ascertain if the work has been done to their satisfaction. Analyze the customer comments and schedule an additional service call if necessary.

Track all monies from all sources and report to appropriate parties. Monitor and lead  with collection of past due or outstanding balances.

Perform clerical duties as required. This includes operating personal computers and standard word processing and spreadsheet software applications.  This includes creating marketing lists, conference and travel schedules, tracking inventory, maintaining supplies, and other duties.

Call potential customers to explain the company services and solicit business. Answer general and specific questions relating to company services.

Call former customers and ensure the service provided was performed satisfactorily. Solicit additional work and obtain recommendations of potential new customers from the call.

Track all inventory, job supplies and marketing supplies to ensure proper levels for completing jobs and marketing.

Call potential new customers referred from customers and other sources.

Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of the normal job duties.
